If you have naturally kinky or curly hair, you’ve probably been told time and again to avoid shampooing it. But today, I want you to take everything bad you’ve heard about shampoo and throw it out the window because we have some very special, very different kinds of shampoo that’ll change your whole perspective on the product!
We all know that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. We also know that, contrary to popular belief, shampoo is not the enemy of curly or natural hair — product buildup is, as well as lack of moisture but we all know that by now too, right? Product buildup can seriously weigh down and dull out the hair, but it’s always more noticeable with curly and natural hair. That’s where we come in! We've developed two deep cleaning but gentle products to get rid of all that gunk on the scalp and restore the hair's natural luster. Plus, they’re both awesome for stimulating hair growth! This is the #LongHairDontCare kit after all!
Onion & Garlic Thickening Ayurvedic Herb Hair Oil
This wouldn’t be a kit for long, healthy hair without a pre-poo treatment! Let’s learn what in it, shall we?
Onion contains sulfur, a mineral that helps regenerate hair follicles. If you’re experiencing serious fall out where you see that little white bulb at the end of the strands, that means the follicle is pretty much done for, which can result in some major thinning. It’s one of two main ingredients in this hair oil because it’s so good at rebuilding the hair from the root. Not only that, but it also helps nourish the hair too, keeping it super healthy!
Garlic has a lot of sulfur too, plus zinc and calcium, all of which are very beneficial to healthy hair growth. Garlic also has some pretty bomb antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that keep the scalp from developing any nasties that can inhibit growth. Garlic has been lauded as a super food for decades, not just because it’s great for keeping the heart healthy and strong, but also because it does things like help stimulate hair growth!
